We’re hiring a Interior Design, Furniture Coordinator at our Corporate Headquarters in Columbia, MO , and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction.

The Interior Design Furniture Coordinator manages demanding project schedules and uses Revit to implement EquipmentShare’s National Furniture Standards Program. This role ensures interior environments are functional, aesthetically cohesive, and code compliant.

Primary Responsibilities

- Ensure all furniture packages uphold the EquipmentShare design standards

- Execute multiple designs under various deadlines

- Ensure interior building environments are aesthetically pleasing, functional, and safe – knowledge of building codes and accessibility standards is required

- Participate in occasional site visits

- Read, interpret, and explain low voltage and electrical documents for coordination with proposed furniture designs.

- Apply previous working experience with commercial furniture dealerships to on-going facility furnishing needs

- Collaborate with design team, local operations team, construction team, and furniture vendors to achieve project goals

- Create and manage purchase orders with furniture vendors and internal payment teams.

- Maintain ongoing relationships with furniture vendors

- Utilize Revit software shared with other design team members to visualize designs and complete coordination documentation

- Work within established purchasing network to evaluate and recommend furniture solutions

- Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

- Must have a solid understanding of commercial furnishing procurement, purchasing structures, product warranty & claims process, and corporate asset management

- Ability to apply, adapt, and manage execution of corporate standards

- Demonstrated project management skills for multiple concurrent projects

- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills

- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills

- Demonstrated time management skills

- Proficiency in the following software:

- Revit, AutoCAD

- Sage, SAP Concur, Cost Capture, or other similar accounting software

- Google Apps and/or Microsoft Office Suite

Education and Experience:

- An Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture

- At least 2 years design experience preferred

- Commercial Interiors experience is required

- Experience working with commercial furniture dealerships

- Experience working with Steelcase product preferred

Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.

- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion
