Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical skills and be able to operate as a full stack software security engineer. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated broad experience in building enterprise level SaaS web applications and have strong communication and critical thinking skills for designing customer facing and internal user facing features and portal experience around a modern SaaS application.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Design, develop, and maintain secure authentication and authorization capabilities for enterprise SaaS applications.
- Develop and enhance full-stack application components using Python, Django, React, and GraphQL.
- Perform threat modeling, secure design reviews, and security-focused code reviews for new and existing capabilities.
- Identify security weaknesses and anti-patterns, especially within authentication and authorization implementations, and recommend practical remediation.
- Partner with software engineers, architects, and product teams to embed security requirements and secure engineering practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Design scalable security controls and automation using AWS services such as AWS Lambda and Amazon S3.
- Integrate third-party technologies and security services into SaaS applications while assessing security, reliability, and operational considerations.
- Translate security risks and technical findings into clear guidance, design documentation, and actionable engineering requirements.
- Contribute reusable patterns, standards, and guardrails that improve secure software development across engineering teams.
- Provide technical mentorship and influence engineering teams to consistently apply secure design and coding practices.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent education and/or related work experience

Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates):

Experience:

- Must have 5+ years of professional software development experience, including hands-on development of enterprise or SaaS applications.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Strong understanding of secure software design principles, common application vulnerabilities, and security design patterns.
- Ability to evaluate technical risk, identify root causes, and recommend solutions that balance security, scalability, and delivery needs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with a detail-oriented and quality-driven approach.
- Ability to produce clear technical designs, security requirements, and remediation guidance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence and collaborate across engineering, architecture, product, and security teams.
- Ability to work effectively in an agile environment, manage competing priorities, and take ownership from design through implementation.
