Overview:

Software Test Engineer (Functional) is responsible for end-to-end functional testing of complex enterprise-level software systems in cloud environments involving multiple applications and technologies. This role analyzes requirements, develops comprehensive test scenarios, executes testing, manages defects, and collaborates across teams to support software quality. The position offers an opportunity to work with API testing, automation, business intelligence, cloud technologies, and complex enterprise systems.

What You Will Do:

• Analyze application features and requirements to identify end-to-end functional test scenarios and develop test cases.
• Execute functional tests, document defects, track issues through closure, and prepare test summary reports.
• Interpret business and technical diagrams, organize complex information, and use it to develop effective test strategies.
• Perform API, automation, BI, and cloud-related testing, including the use of automation tools such as Selenium.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and development teams to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and support quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

What You Need to Succeed:

• 2 to 4 years of relevant experience as a Test Engineer, including functional testing of enterprise-level software systems.
• BE/BTech, preferably in Computer Science and Engineering or Information Technology, with a minimum of 70 percent marks as specified for this position.
• Experience with API testing, Selenium or similar automation tools, BI, cloud environments, and defect management tools.
• Knowledge of developing test strategies for complex enterprise systems; exposure to Agile Scrum and other software development lifecycles is beneficial.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills; knowledge of IoT and AI/ML is an added advantage.
