Technical Program Manager II, Integrated Infrastructure Planning, Google Cloud

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Build and operate an integrated infrastructure planning capability that covers the 0-10 year horizon, transforming product demand, infrastructure constraints, and financial objectives into actionable capacity decisions and a unified infrastructure Plan of Record.

As a Capacity Planner, you will help translate evolving product demand into actionable infrastructure capacity plans across compute, storage, network, data center, and other infrastructure resources. You will work with Product, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Planning teams to integrate demand, capacity constraints, planning assumptions, and investment decisions into a coherent infrastructure Plan of Record.

In this role, you will have an opportunity to build a broad understanding of hyperscale infrastructure while contributing directly to how Google plans capacity across multiple time horizons.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $138000 - $197000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

- 2 years of experience in program management.

- Experience analyzing datasets using spreadsheets, SQL, Python, business intelligence tools, or similar analytical technologies.

- Experience in capacity planning.

Preferred qualifications:

- 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

- Experience developing dashboards, planning models, metrics, or data-driven decision-support mechanisms.

- Experience working with planning systems, data pipelines, workflow automation, or structured sources of truth.

- Experience with supply chain, operations research, forecasting or technical planning.

- Execute recurring and scenario-based infrastructure capacity planning across Product, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Planning organizations.

- Analyze product demand, infrastructure requirements, capacity constraints, deployment alternatives, planning assumptions, and dependencies to identify gaps, tradeoffs, and planning risks.

- Help develop, reconcile, and publish the infrastructure capacity Plan of Record, ensuring approved demand and capacity decisions are accurately reflected in authoritative planning outputs.

- Partner with Engineering and Planning teams to translate product demand into infrastructure requirements and reconcile planning outputs across compute, storage, network, data center, and supply-chain domains.

- Prepare clear planning analyses, executive materials, and recommendations that enable timely infrastructure decisions.
