About the role

We are looking for a scientifically trained, commercially minded Corporate Development Associate to support Qureight’s continued growth and strategic development. Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, you will support major strategic initiatives, with a particular focus on developing partnerships with global pharmaceutical companies and evaluating opportunities arising from Qureight’s scientific and technology capabilities.

You will research pharmaceutical pipelines, therapeutic areas, clinical-development programmes and potential partners; assess the scientific and commercial rationale for new opportunities; and help turn these insights into clear recommendations, presentations and partnership proposals. The role sits at the intersection of science, strategy and commercial development. You will need to understand how biomarkers are developed, validated and used in clinical trials, alongside the regulatory considerations that influence their adoption.

You will work with Qureight’s clinical, scientific, product, regulatory and commercial teams to help identify opportunities where our imaging, data and AI capabilities can create meaningful value for pharmaceutical partners. You will also work closely with our CCO and CFO.

What you will do

- Support the development of relationships with major pharmaceutical companies, from initial research and engagement through to partnership design and internal approval.
- Assess the scientific, clinical and commercial rationale for potential partnerships, new therapeutic areas and technology-development opportunities.
- Analyse the biomarker landscape within relevant diseases, including imaging, digital, molecular and clinical biomarkers.
- Monitor scientific, clinical, regulatory and market developments relevant to Qureight's strategy.
- Support the evaluation of new scientific capabilities, products and applications for Qureight's technology and data.
- Prepare high-quality presentations, briefing papers, business cases and recommendations for the CEO, leadership team, Board and external partners.
- Support the CEO and senior leadership team with preparation for important pharmaceutical, investor and strategic-partner meetings.
- Coordinate input from Qureight's scientific, clinical, regulatory, product and commercial teams for strategic projects and partnership opportunities.
- Support commercial and scientific due diligence relating to potential partnerships, investments and other corporate-development opportunities.
- Help develop partnership structures, workplans, budgets and supporting documentation.
- Maintain clear records of strategic opportunities, decisions, actions and external engagements.
- Ensure agreed actions and priorities are progressed effectively following internal and external meetings.

Requirements

- A degree in a relevant scientific discipline, such as biological sciences, biomedical sciences, medicine, pharmacology, biochemistry, bioengineering or a related field.
- An understanding of biomarker development, validation and application within clinical trials.
- Strong scientific research and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex information and draw clear conclusions.
- Commercial curiosity and an interest in pharmaceutical partnerships, corporate development and life-sciences strategy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to translate scientific and technical information into clear commercial and strategic recommendations.
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of work.
- The judgement and professionalism required to support senior internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to work effectively across scientific, clinical, technical and commercial teams in a fast-moving environment.

Even better if

- You have a postgraduate scientific qualification, including an MBA, MSc, MRes, PhD, PharmD or medical degree.
- You have experience in corporate development, strategy consulting, pharmaceutical business development, technology transfer, investment, competitive intelligence or a related role.
- You have worked within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, medical-imaging or healthcare-technology organisation.
- You have experience researching pharmaceutical pipelines, clinical trials or therapeutic landscapes.
- You understand imaging biomarkers and their application within clinical development.
- You have supported strategic partnerships, due diligence, licensing assessments or external innovation programmes.
- You have experience developing business cases, financial models, partnership proposals or Board-level presentations.
- You have an interest in lung and heart disease, clinical imaging, artificial intelligence or data-driven drug development.

- A Salary range of £70,000-£85,000
