Software Engineer [Multiple Positions Available]

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through progressive, innovative, and resilient engineering practices. Responsible for all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify and troubleshoot application code-related issues. Perform peer code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Conduct design reviews and recommend ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Guide project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions. Represent software designs and architecture of applications to senior technology and product executives. Interact with clients during the different phases of projects from initiation to closure. Coordinate test plans and execution with testing teams, user acceptance teams, middleware teams, infrastructure teams, and operational support teams. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel for off-site meetings, trainings, and industry conferences.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Business System Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Business System Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Delivering software that uses and integrates with the LexisNexis FircoSoft Continuity vendor software solution; Developing and automating large-scale, high-performance payments processing systems to drive and improve product experience; Developing software that utilizes programing languages such as Java, JavaScript, XML, or JSON; Integrating Ficrosoft vendor components using messaging technologies such as JMS or MQ; Deploying FircoSoft products using cloud technologies such as Kubernetes or Docker; Coding in programming languages and Operating Systems such as Windows, Linux, or RHEL for Shell Scripting; Performing data manipulation, data structuring, data design flow, and query optimization using Database programming languages such as SQL or Oracle; Tracking and managing FircoSoft Vendor Product using project and Program tracking tools such as Confluence or JIRA.

Job Location: 10430 Highland Manor Drive, Tampa, FL 33610. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel for off-site meetings, trainings, and industry conferences.
