Overview
The Real Estate Paralegal will play a key role in supporting Storage Post’s growth strategy by providing legal and transactional assistance for the acquisition of new self‑storage properties. Reporting directly to the EVP, Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel, this position will support all aspects of due diligence, contract preparation, closing processes, and ongoing portfolio management. The ideal candidate has strong experience in commercial real estate transactions, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, acquisition-focused environment.
You will:
- Coordinate and manage due diligence for potential self‑storage acquisitions, including title and survey review, zoning compliance, environmental reports, lien searches, and property‑specific data collection.
- Prepare and organize due diligence checklists and timelines for each transaction.
- Assist in reviewing purchase and sale agreements, closing documents, and ancillary real estate contracts.
- Work with sellers, brokers, title companies, lenders, consultants, and outside counsel to facilitate a smooth and timely closing process.
- Organize, maintain, and archive closing files and post‑closing documentation.
- Draft, revise, and manage real estate documents such as easements, access agreements, amendments, estoppels, and SNDAs.
- Assist in lease review, abstracting, and critical date management for acquired sites.
- Support entity formation and maintenance for property‑owning entities (LLCs, amendments, resolutions, annual reports).
- Review and track title commitments, surveys, and pro formas; address objections and coordinate resolutions.
- Maintain databases and trackers related to real estate contracts, property information, and ongoing obligations.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing vendor agreements, NDAs, and operational contracts related to property management and construction.
- Ensure legal documents are properly executed, notarized, stored, and organized.
- Conduct legal research and prepare summaries or recommendations to the EVP, Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel.
- Assist with preparing presentations or reports relating to acquisitions, legal exposure, or portfolio performance.
- Support special projects and cross‑functional initiatives as assigned.

You have:
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA‑approved program.
- 3–5+ years of commercial real estate paralegal experience, preferably including acquisitions or development.
- High proficiency in title/survey review, due diligence, and real estate closing procedures.
- Experience with entity management systems, DocuSign, or real estate project tracking tools.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, document management systems, and digital closing platforms.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Talking, hearing, and seeing with close visual acuity are frequently required.
- Keying data is repetitive motion and is frequently required.
- Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
- Works in a normal office setting with no exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
