Accessibility Coordinator

Join MPS as an Accessibility Coordinator and play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality accessibility services across film releases. Working collaboratively with clients, internal teams, and external partners, you will coordinate projects from planning through to completion, ensuring accessible content is delivered accurately, on time, and to the highest standards. You'll help drive service excellence, support continuous improvement, and contribute to making content accessible to diverse audiences.

What You’ll Do:

The purpose of this role is to work within the Production team, coordinating accessibility projects for the MPS client base, as well as helping develop the team’s systems and generally covering any subtitle delivery. The job is fast-paced and requires a methodical approach, attention to detail and good team communication skills.

The role requires excellent understanding of Digital Cinema and its supporting services.

Accessibility (60%)

- Work alongside Accessibility Specialist to coordinate accessibility (audio description and SDH) projects from beginning to end
- Handle any onboarding duties (resource hunting as well as demos)
- Take on access reviews as and when needed
- Work closely with Accessibility Specialist and Head of Dept to ensure internal standards and procedures are adhered to

Subtitling and Localisation (20%)

- Provide general subtitling and localisation services as and when required
- Advise clients or internal teams on subtitling queries

Communication & team work (10%)

- Be a point of contact for AM and other departments with Access queries
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors and freelancers alike
- Escalate issues with Accessibility Specialist and Head of dept judiciously
- Assist and support freelancers and vendors
- Provide weekend on-call and overtime support for the Subtitling & Accessibility team when required

Planning & Organising (10%)

- Work closely with the other team members and internal teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time
- Understand the workflows in order to effectively handover and pick up the projects when required
- Advise internal teams and clients on workflows, turnarounds and deliverables

What You’ll Bring:

- 3-5 years plus experience in a subtitling/accessibility role in the media industry
- Comprehensive understanding of the Digital Cinema Model

Qualifications/Experience

- Understanding of different type of video and encoding formats, also VOD and Home Entertainment Requirements
- Good knowledge of subtitling software
- Knowledge of Audio Description and Hard Of Hearing
- Ease with numbers and Microsoft programs
- Fluent written and spoken English with a second language. Arabic, Chinese, Korean or Thai would be an advantage.
- Experience of Access databases
