The Role:
The Head of Real Estate Fund Governance is a senior management role responsible for leading and overseeing fund governance and company secretarial activities globally. The role provides leadership to global fund company secretarial teams, driving a consistent operating model, governance framework and service delivery approach across Real Estate.
As a senior member of local leadership team, the role is accountable for fostering strong governance standards, enhancing collaboration across regions, and leading organisational change initiatives that support effective and sustainable growth. The role champions a culture of excellence, accountability and continuous improvement while developing the capability of teams and future leaders.

Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee global Real Estate fund governance and company secretarial activities of complex Real Estate structures across the UK, Europe and Asia.
- Provide leadership to fund company secretarial teams globally, ensuring effective governance, regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
- Ensure that a comprehensive company secretariat and corporate governance service is provided to the Real Estate related fund/SPV boards and M&G Real Estate board committees, and other boards/committees, as required.
- Develop and implement operating model enhancements that promotes consistency, scalability and collaboration across regions. Drive digital enablement.
- Drive organisational change initiatives to simplify processes, improve effectiveness and create greater alignment across teams.
- Hold and discharge responsibilities associated with Luxembourg and where required, European directorships, ensuring appropriate governance standards and fiduciary obligations are met.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with the corporate company secretarial teams globally, ensuring efficient operating practices and a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration across all jurisdictions.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, boards, regulators and business leaders to support effective governance outcomes.
- Act as a member of the local senior management team, acting as a senior escalation point and contributing to strategic decision-making and business planning.
- Contribute to commercial growth by leading further commercialisation of fund governance and company secretarial services to funds/mandates.
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks, policies and standards that support consistent execution across jurisdictions.
- Promote effective collaboration between teams, creating a culture of partnership, accountability and knowledge sharing.
- Lead, develop and coach direct reports, building a high-performing and inclusive team environment.
- Support succession planning and talent development to strengthen organisational capability and future leadership pipelines.
- Monitor risks and governance matters, ensuring appropriate escalation and resolution where required.
- Drive continuous improvement and adoption of best practice governance processes globally.
Key Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Significant experience in corporate secretarial or governance roles within Real Estate/Real Assets/Alternative fund environments
- Significant experience of Real Estate fund governance, corporate governance and company secretarial practices.
- Experience operating across multiple jurisdictions and managing complex governance frameworks.
- Ability to lead through change and proven experience in successfully implementing global operating models.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at executive, board and regulatory level.
- Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking capability.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.
- Ability to balance strategic priorities with effective execution and operational oversight.
- Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and driving collaboration across functions.
- Strong judgement, decision-making and risk management capability.

Qualifications:
- Professional governance qualification (CGI or equivalent) required
