Senior Solution Architect

At HexaIO we are looking for a Senior IT Solution Architect with a strong technical mindset and an integration focus to work with one of our banking clients. You will design changes to new and existing IT systems, with an emphasis on retail digital channels such as mobile and internet banking and their connection to the bank's backend systems.

Our client puts particular weight on a can-do attitude and on the ability to cut through complexity and keep solutions simple. Coding experience is not required, but you should be comfortable working at the level of API specifications and data flows.

As an IT Solution Architect, you will:

- Prepare IT architecture concepts, such as Architecture Vision and HLD, together with the teams owning the affected systems.

- Assess the feasibility of business requests and recommend a solution after weighing the implementation alternatives.

- Define system-to-system communication, call chains, data flows and integration logic with architecture and integration teams.

- Create API mapping tables, data transformation logic and integration specifications at developer-ready detail.

- Specify mobile app and internet banking features based on Figma designs, business requirements and existing system capabilities.

- Write functional and technical documentation that development teams can use to plan implementation and estimate effort.

- Consult Enterprise Architects and relevant managers on application architecture, in line with the bank's architecture strategy.

- Track changes to IT standards and delivery templates, inform stakeholders and update application records in the CMDB.

Requirements

- University degree in business, economics or IT, or a combination such as business informatics

- At least 5 years of business and IT design and modeling for retail digital banking channels (mobile banking, internet banking, online customer service)

- Hands-on experience designing complex integrations between banking backend systems and digital channels

- Confident reading and creating sequence diagrams, and analyzing REST APIs and OpenAPI / Swagger specifications

- Ability to define end-to-end business processes and mediate effectively between business and IT stakeholders

- Excellent communication skills, with fluent Hungarian and professional English, spoken and written

Nice to Have

- TOGAF certification or hands-on use of ArchiMate, BPMN or UML

- Knowledge of integration middleware and patterns, such as API gateways, ESB or Kafka

- Understanding of PSD2, open banking APIs and strong customer authentication flows

- Experience with tools such as Postman, Confluence, Jira or ServiceNow
