About this role

Job Summary:

- The Texas Health Spine Surgery Center ASC Patient Admissions Associate is responsible for providing assistance to the ASC staff and physicians in regarding to routing phone calls appropriately, proper message taking, and assisting with various clerical tasks.

- This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Spine Team Texas.

- The ASC Patient Admissions Associate reports directly to the ASC Nurse Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

- It is the responsibility of the ASC Patient Admissions Associate to assist all ASC staff and physician while providing the highest level of customer service to all patients.

- This position is responsible for answering and routing all ASC phone calls and appropriately documenting messages for ASC personnel.

- Various clerical duties will be assigned.

- This position will provide back-up coverage to the Admissions area as needed and required.

- This position will provide back up and maintenance duties for the Medical Records area, EMR.

- Other duties and responsibilities may be required by the Spine Team Texas Clinical Nurse Manager.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Must be able to sit for long periods of time and work in a well-lit, air-conditioned office environment.  Must have ability to lift a minimum of 5 pounds.  Must be able to work under pressure.  Tasks involve no exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements & Position Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent

- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to effectively present information to senior management.

- Excellent organizational ability.

- Possess the ability to plan and execute work projects.

- Possess the ability to work productively, either independently or with other individuals.

- Proficient in communicating in the English language both written and verbally.
