Purpose of the Position

As a Therapy Area Lead (HIV), you will play a key role in developing and executing the medical strategy for HIV across multiple markets. Working at the intersection of science, innovation, and patient access, you will partner with healthcare professionals, scientific leaders, and cross-functional colleagues to advance medical understanding, shape strategic initiatives, and improve outcomes for people living with HIV throughout the region. This is a highly visible regional role offering the opportunity to influence medical strategy across multiple countries while contributing to a diverse, collaborative, and purpose-driven Medical Affairs organization. This is not a traditional country-based Medical Affairs role. Instead, you will collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders across multiple markets, giving you the opportunity to make a broader impact while growing your international experience in a highly dynamic environment.

Our regional Medical Affairs organization brings together local expertise under one shared HIV medical strategy, creating meaningful impact for patients across diverse healthcare systems.

Cross-Country Collaboration; Therapy Area Leads work across 12 countries in Southern, Central and Eastern Europe, including Portugal, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Hungary, the Baltics and other Central European markets. Although geographically dispersed, the team remains closely connected through collaboration, mutual support and an inclusive culture built on trust and teamwork.

Main Responsibilities

·       Develop and execute the HIV medical strategy across multiple countries within the cluster.

·       Build and maintain trusted scientific partnerships with healthcare professionals and external experts.

·       Generate and translate medical insights into strategies that improve patient outcomes and support medical priorities.

·       Lead scientific engagement activities, including advisory boards and medical education initiatives.

·       Support patient access and reimbursement activities through scientific and medical expertise.

·       Collaborate effectively with local, regional, and global cross-functional teams.

Your Profile

·       MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent Life Sciences degree.

·       Significant Medical Affairs experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.

·       Several years of experience as a Medical Advisor.

·       Experience operating in complex, multi-country or regional environments.

·       Strong strategic thinking combined with the ability to execute independently.

·       Proven ability to build scientific relationships and influence diverse stakeholders.

·       Fluent in English
