Position Summary

ClearWater Solutions, LLC (CWS) is seeking an Assistant Wastewater Project Manager to support wastewater operations at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. The position assists with the administration, operation, and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant and collection systems and provides day-to-day leadership for approximately four to five employees assigned to the project.

The Assistant Project Manager supports budget preparation and monitoring, procedure implementation, regulatory reporting, personnel functions, and client service. The position works under the direction of the Project Manager while exercising sound independent judgment and technical expertise to help achieve project, compliance, safety, and operational objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Establish project goals and meet with the Project Manager at least weekly to review progress, priorities, and follow-up actions.

- Organize, coordinate, and support the daily operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant and collection systems.

- Enter compliance data into established Excel workbooks and assist with the preparation of reports for the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM).

- Prioritize work assignments and coordinate the effective use of personnel, equipment, materials, and other resources.

- Adjust methods, procedures, schedules, and priorities in response to changing operating conditions.

- Help ensure work is performed in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements, as well as CWS safety standards and operating procedures.

- Serve as the project safety coordinator and complete the monthly safety audit in coordination with the CWS Safety Director.

- Review the work, progress, timeliness, and safety performance of assigned employees and crews; address deviations and elevate concerns as appropriate.

- Maintain professional working relationships with the client, employees, contractors, the public, and representatives of other agencies.

- Prepare clear, accurate, and comprehensive verbal and written reports for the client and CWS management, as required.

- Coordinate operating schedules and recurring activities, including sampling, grounds maintenance, preventive maintenance, and other project tasks.

- Assist with department budgeting, expenditure monitoring, procedure implementation, and personnel-related functions.

- Maintain a valid operators license applicable to the position throughout employment.

- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED.

- Active ADEM Grade III wastewater certification.

- Experience in wastewater treatment plant and collection system operations.

- Supervisory or team-lead experience.

- Valid drivers license.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
