About this role
The Purchasing Agent I supports procurement operations by processing purchase requisitions, managing purchase orders, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. This role also assists with vendor sourcing, order tracking, and cost-saving initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and support vendor relationships
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery requirements
- Create and manage purchase orders
- Track orders and resolve delivery or pricing issues
- Maintain purchasing data, part numbers, pricing, and BOMs in JDE
- Coordinate RMAs and supplier follow-up
- Communicate order status with internal stakeholders
- Support sourcing strategies and cost reduction efforts
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of purchasing, procurement, or related experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) preferred
