Job Summary
The Senior Process Piping Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, and successful delivery of commercial and industrial construction projects, specifically overseeing our process piping scopes of work performed to ASME code (primarily B31.3 Process Piping). This role oversees all phases of a project, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, resource allocation, subcontractor management, client relations, ASME code compliance and QA/QC coordination, and project closeout activities. The Project Manager is accountable for ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with ASME code requirements, quality standards, and contractual requirements.

Success in this role is demonstrated through strong leadership, effective communication, financial management, and the ability to proactively identify and resolve project challenges while maintaining positive relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and project teams. The Process Piping Project Manager serves as the primary liaison between field operations, company leadership, and customers, ensuring successful project outcomes and customer satisfaction.

Essential Job Responsibilities

- Oversee large scale process piping construction projects from set up to close out, related to industries including power generation, industrial/process facilities, refining/chemical, mining, and semiconductor / mission critical, ensuring work is executed in accordance with applicable ASME piping codes.

- Responsible for recruiting, managing and leading teams of employees, including Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Project Coordinators.

- Ensure project execution complies with ASME B31.3 (Process Piping) and any other applicable ASME code requirements, from fabrication through field installation.

- Coordinate with QA/QC and third-party inspection on weld procedure qualification (WPS/PQR), welder certification, NDE, PWHT, hydrostatic testing, and Positive Material Identification (PMI) for pressure piping systems.

- Review P&IDs, piping isometrics, and piping material specifications with the project team to support constructability, procurement, and fabrication/field installation sequencing.

- Supervises the daily work of employees.

- Verifies conformance of finished work product, including overseeing compliance with all contract requirements.

- Responsible for ensuring all safety and environmental requirements are met.

- Coordination of all labor, equipment, and subcontractor resources with Project subordinates and other Loenbro companies to ensure timely, cost-effective completion of project.

- Assures all employees within the team know and follow the company safety and work rules and policies.

Qualifications

Required:

- Minimum of 8 years of experience managing industrial or commercial construction projects.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the Mechanical field, with direct experience managing process piping scopes.

- Working knowledge of ASME B31.3 (Process Piping) and ASME Section IX (Welding and Brazing Qualifications).

- Experience coordinating QA/QC and inspection activities for pressure piping, including WPS/PQR, welder qualification, NDE, and hydrostatic testing.

- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, piping isometrics, and piping specifications.

Preferred:

- Experience with HCSS Heavy Job or similar job costing program.

- Experience with P6 or similar scheduling software.

- Experience with Viewpoint or similar account software.

- Experience with Heavy Bid or similar estimating software.

- Experience coordinating pipe fabrication/spool shop activities in support of field installation.

- AWS CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) or similar welding inspection credential.

- Proficient with all Microsoft Office products.

- Completion of OSHA or equivalent safety training.

- Ability to travel.

- Driver’s license with a clean driving record.

- Engineering or Construction Management Degree preferred.
