SCOPE

The Claims Support Supervisor leads licensed adjusters who provide elevated claim service, explain coverage and liability information, process first-party claim payments, and make decisions that move insured losses toward closure. The supervisor provides operational direction, quality oversight, coaching, and escalation support while ensuring work remains within team authority. Matters requiring upper-level investigation, complex coverage determinations, negotiation, or settlement with claimants are referred to the appropriate adjusting staff.

KEY DUTIES
- Lead, coach, and support a team of licensed fast track adjusters serving as elevated points of contact for policyholders and claimants.
- Oversee accurate processing of first payments to insureds, shops, and related parties, as well as reissuance of payments previously issued on a claim.
- Review, Approve, and guide team explanations of coverage, policy terms, claim status, liability, and next steps to ensure accuracy, consistency, and appropriate licensed-level service.
- Review and approve payments, and letters to parties to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Handle supervisor escalation calls and activities as needed.
- Review and approve fault ratings and coverage resolutions as needed.
- Provide oversight of coverage and liability reviews on insured losses and ensure decisions are supported by claim data, properly documented, and within assigned authority.
- Handle escalated questions and disputes beyond adjuster authority; determine when a matter requires management involvement or referral to an upper-level adjuster.
- Audit calls, claim notes, payment activity, and decision quality for compliance with company policy, Florida DFS regulations, and documentation standards.
- Monitor productivity, quality, attendance, customer service, payment accuracy, and claim-resolution metrics; communicate expectations and manage performance concerns.
- Conduct regular one-on-ones, coaching, training, and development activities; ensure licenses remain active and required training is completed on time.
- Manage daily staffing, workload, call coverage, and priorities so the team responds effectively to customer needs and moves eligible claims toward closure.
- Serve as a licensed resource for the team and entry-level CSRs; identify trends, process gaps, and training needs and recommend operational improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS
 
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
- Active Florida 6-20 All-Lines Adjuster license in good standing is required.
- Prior P&C insurance service or claims experience is required; UAIC experience and previous leadership or coaching experience are preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, analysis, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills with sound independent judgment.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; proficiency with claim systems, contact-center tools, reporting, and Microsoft Office applications.
