About this role

What You’ll Do:

Century Communities is seeking a Director of Sales and Marketing Technology to own the technology that powers our buyers' journey from first click to closing table. This role provides full technical ownership of our Salesforce and Optimizely platform ecosystems, leads two application teams, and serves as the primary IT business partner to Marketing and Sales leadership. The ideal candidate pairs deep platform expertise with the judgment to translate business priorities into a coherent roadmap across our Lead Acquisition through Close value stream. Hybrid position located at our Greenwood Village, CO corporate offices. 3 days in the office 2 days remote.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

CRM & Marketing Technology Platform Ownership

- Own technical strategy, architecture, configuration, and roadmap for Salesforce Sales Cloud, Salesforce Voice, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement.

- Serve as co-owner — alongside the Data & Analytics team — of Salesforce Data 360, coordinating data model, governance, and integration decisions across both teams.

- Direct platform upgrades, integrations, vendor relationships, and release management across the Salesforce ecosystem.

- Ensure Salesforce investments align with lead-generation, and sales-enablement.

Digital Experience Platform Ownership

- Own technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for Optimizely Commerce, Optimizely CMS, Optimizely Data Platform (ODP), Optimizely Digital Asset Management (DAM), and Optimizely Content Marketing Platform (CMP).

- Direct platform upgrades, integrations, vendor relationships, and release management across the Optimizely ecosystem.

- Partner with Marketing and web teams to ensure the digital experience stack supports personalization, content velocity, and online home-buying conversion goals.

Team Leadership

- Manage and develop the Manager, CRM Applications and the Manager, Web & Digital Experience, setting priorities, capacity plans, and career development paths.

- Build a scalable operating model across the combined organization, balancing run/support work against roadmap delivery.

- Continue platform governance, documentation, and best-practice standards across both teams.

Value Stream Ownership: Lead Acquisition Through Close

- Hold end-to-end technology accountability for the Lead Acquisition through Close value stream, from initial buyer engagement through contract and closing.

- Define and track value-stream health metrics — lead conversion, funnel velocity, data quality, system uptime — in partnership with Marketing, Sales, and Data & Analytics.

- Identify and prioritize investments that improve funnel performance, buyer experience, and sales productivity across the value stream.

Business Relationship Management & Executive Partnership

- Act as the primary Business Relationship Manager between IT and both Marketing and Sales leadership, including regular strategic engagement with the SVP of Marketing and the SVP of Sales.

- Lead demand-shaping and prioritization conversations that translate Marketing and Sales strategy into an actionable, resourced IT roadmap.

- Represent the CRM and digital platform portfolio in IT planning and budget governance, including executive-level reporting as needed.

- Build trusted relationships with business stakeholders so technology investment stays ahead of business need rather than reactive to it.

What You Have:

- 8+ years of progressive experience in CRM, marketing technology, or digital experience platform leadership, including 3+ years managing managers or multi-team organizations.

- Hands-on depth with the Salesforce platform — Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud required; Salesforce Voice and Data 360/Data Cloud strongly preferred.

- Hands-on depth with Optimizely or a comparable enterprise CMS/commerce/DXP platform, including commerce, content management, and digital asset management.

- Experience owning technology for a revenue-generating value stream (lead generation, sales, or e-commerce) in partnership with Marketing and Sales stakeholders.

- Homebuilding, residential real estate, or multi-location retail/e-commerce experience preferred.

- Prior experience in a formal Business Relationship Management or IT business-partner capacity strongly preferred.

Skills

- Proven ability to translate executive-level business strategy into a technical roadmap and manage competing demand across multiple stakeholder groups.

- Strong vendor management, contracting, and budget governance skills across a multi-platform SaaS portfolio.

- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management, including comfort operating at the SVP level.

- Familiarity with Agile delivery practices and IT portfolio/roadmap planning frameworks.

Your Education and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred; MBA or other relevant advanced degree a plus.

- Equivalent combination of education and hands-on, progressively responsible experience in CRM, marketing technology, or digital platform leadership will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Compensation

Century Communities (the "Company") intends to offer the selected candidate an annual base salary in the range of $175,000 to $200,000 with the potential for an annual bonus. Actual offers will be based on a variety of factors, including experience. Employees will have access to paid time off, medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, and the Company's 401(k) plan.
