About this role
As a Train Presentation Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of Arriva plc's train fleet, contributing to a positive customer experience.
Responsibilities:
* Perform interior and exterior cleaning of train carriages, including floors, seating, windows, and restrooms, to high standards of hygiene and presentation.
* Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and hand towels in onboard facilities.
* Remove litter, graffiti, and other debris from train interiors and exteriors.
* Conduct pre-departure checks to ensure the train is clean and ready for service.
* Report any damage, defects, or cleanliness issues to the relevant team.
* Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
* Operate cleaning equipment and machinery safely and effectively.
* Collaborate with other team members to maintain efficient and effective cleaning schedules.
* May be required to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, as per operational needs.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in cleaning or a similar role is desirable, particularly within a transport or customer-facing environment.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
* Reliable and punctual with a flexible approach to working hours.
* Good communication skills.
* Ability to understand and follow instructions effectively.
* Awareness of health and safety practices.
* Physical fitness to perform duties including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
