Overview
Dedicated Merchandiser – Ottawa
SPAR Canada works with its international client CPG to provide field merchandising services to major retailers. This position is a territory field role in which you will visit major retail outlets to perform planned retail merchandising tasks, including construction and re-merchandising customer postings; maintain and update graphics, planograms, inventory levels, audits and data collection; and building and maintaining strong relationships at the store level. You will report on your findings and successes online every day. We are looking for individuals who are self-sufficient, highly motivated, and have the drive to produce high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Experience with retail merchandising, interpreting planograms and assembling displays (preferred, but not required)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license
- Personal cell is required and a valid email address
- Printer and computer access
- Attention to detail
- Able to conduct yourself in a professional manner
- The successful candidate must reside in the territory (Ottawa)
Additional Duties, Responsibilities and/or Experience:
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to interact with client and management.
- Exceptional problem-solving, creative thinking and implementation skills.
- Experience with Microsoft office, Excel and Outlook.
- Self-motivated and organized.
- Must have access to a reliable vehicle as role is 100% in field
- Previous retail/merchandising or vendor related experience is considered an asset
EDUCATION:
This position requires a minimum education of a College Diploma
OR
This position requires completion of a secondary education or a combination of equivalent education and work experience may be considered.
