Job Description Summary
Position Responsibilities:
Requirements:
- Execute the daily operational workflows of the Outbound Sales team, including managing customer segmentation, lead routing, sales processes, and performance standards.
- Manage team hiring plans, onboarding, and training, ensuring sales reps are equipped with the proper enablement tools and reporting milestones.
- Facilitate daily partnership routines between Outbound Sales, branch counter teams, outside sales, and national accounts to ensure clear communication and alignment.
- Drive outbound execution for high-value and underpenetrated customer segments, directly tracking team reactivation and growth targets.
- Implement structured outbound sales programs designed to improve customer engagement, account growth, and retention.
- Coach the team to consistently identify customer needs, expand product awareness, and route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales channel.
- Lead, mentor, and develop individual Outbound Sales representatives, establishing regular coaching routines and performance management practices.
- Foster a high-performing sales culture grounded in accountability, teamwork, disciplined execution, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and report on KPIs tied to team activity, conversion, revenue growth, pipeline generation, and sales productivity.
- Collaborate with Sales Operations and IT to utilize CRM tools, call tracking systems, dashboards, and sales analytics to keep the team efficient.
- Support the adoption of new technologies, including automation and digital sales tools, to improve lead prioritization and outreach productivity.
- Provide routine visibility to leadership on team performance, customer trends, risks, and staffing needs.
- Coordinate with branch operations and field sales leaders to manage smooth lead handoffs and prevent channel conflict.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 4–6 years of progressive B2B sales experience, with at least 2–4 years of experience directly supervising or managing a sales team.
- Experience working within or supporting an inside/outbound sales, telesales, or sales development environment.
- Demonstrated success managing teams of 10 to 15 sales professionals, including hiring, coaching, and driving metric-based accountability.
- Solid understanding of sales workflows, lead routing, CRM utilization, dashboards, and performance tracking.
- Familiarity with sales technology, contact center software, phone systems, and digital engagement tools.
- Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills to work effectively with field operations and support functions.
- Equipment rental, construction, industrial services, or distribution industry experience preferred.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work. Base Pay Range: $130,315.00 - 179,183.40
