Position Summary:

We are seeking a Associate Engineer, IT Laboratory Systems to support laboratory and manufacturing benchtop IT systems in a GMP-regulated environment. This role provides hands-on technical support, troubleshooting, and operational execution to ensure system availability and compliance across manufacturing and laboratory operations.

The position primarily supports standard business hours, including nights, extended hours, weekends, holidays, and scheduled site shutdowns.

Flexibility to Support:

24/7 Environment, Holidays, nights and weekends as needed.

Core hours M-F 8am-8pm.

The Associate Engineer serves as a critical resource, providing independent issue resolution, escalation, and execution support to maintain continuity of GMP operations. The role requires sound technical judgment, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and active participation in both steady‑state operations and new system implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide technical support for laboratory benchtop equipment, IT systems, instruments and associated infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system, software, hardware, network, and integration issues across GMP laboratory environments.
- Execute and support system implementations, upgrades, migrations, enhancements, and technology refresh projects.
- Support qualification, validation, and computer system lifecycle activities, including testing, protocol execution, discrepancy resolution, and documentation review.
- Collaborate with Quality, Validation, Manufacturing, Laboratory Operations, vendors, and enterprise IT teams to support operational readiness and compliance requirements.
- Perform system administration activities, routine maintenance, patch coordination, account management, backup verification, and health monitoring.
- Investigate incidents, service requests, deviations, and system issues while ensuring timely resolution and appropriate documentation.
- Assist in the training of laboratory personnel on the use of IT systems and equipment.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in laboratory technology and IT systems.

Qualifications & Experience:

- One year of technical support experience or relevant IT certifications required; bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Working knowledge of laboratory and manufacturing systems operating in regulated GMP/GxP environments, including system administration, troubleshooting, and compliance requirements.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to execute assigned tasks with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams as needed.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with laboratory software and hardware is a plus.
- Experience supporting enterprise, laboratory, or manufacturing systems, including complex troubleshooting, incident management, system lifecycle activities, and project execution.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work non ‑ standard schedules, including nights, extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Flexibility to support weekend shift operations as required to meet business needs, including coverage      during planned and unplanned absences.
- Ability to report onsite within a reasonable timeframe to support operational needs.

Compensation Overview:
Summit West - NJ - US: $66,130 - $80,134

The starting pay range(s) listed above is for full-time employees (FTE). You may also be eligible for additional discretionary incentive cash and stock opportunities. We determine starting pay thoughtfully – carefully considering the nature of the role, required skills, work location, schedule and the knowledge and experience you bring. Final compensation is guided by pay equity principles and applicable employment laws. Compensation programs are reviewed on an ongoing basis and may be adjusted over time to reflect evolving market factors, and individual, team or Company performance.

U.S.-based exempt employees are eligible for Flexible Time Off (FTO), which provides paid time off without a set accrual limit, subject to manager approval, along with 11 paid company holidays each year.

Non-exempt employees, RayzeBio employees, and employees located in Puerto Rico receive 160 hours of paid vacation annually for new hires (subject to manager approval), 11 paid company holidays, and 3 optional holidays.

Depending on eligibility, employees may also have access to additional time-off benefits, including paid sick leave, up to two paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, and leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, or military needs. Eligible employees also enjoy an annual Global Shutdown between Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
