About this role

Actions Capital is a seasoned venture capital firm that's delivered top-5% results for over a decade, backing founders from Day 0 to build consequential companies. Founded in 2016 as the first institutional pre-seed fund attached to a trusted founder community we launched in 2007, Actions Capital deploys a barbell strategy with our LPs — investing early through our flagship funds, and doubling down on our best portfolio companies through structured primaries and secondaries at Series C-E.

Our results speak for themselves: over the last decade, we've delivered 25% Net IRR across our flagship funds and 78% Net IRR on our Growth Co-Investments. Fund I returned 7.3x TVPI, 39% Net IRR, and ~1x DPI in just five years, with a 10%+ unicorn hit rate. Our portfolio includes Bilt ($11B), Groww (IPO — $13B), Valon ($2B+), Midi ($1B+), and Somos. We've grown fast — 2x'ing our AUM over the past 15 months as we've built out our growth platform and we're targeting another 3-4x over the next two to three years.

About the Role

To support that trajectory, we're looking for a Fundraising Associate to quarterback our fundraising motion from the inside. You'll work across our pre-seed funds, growth fund, and SPVs, partnering closely with our Partners, Capital Formation team, and VP of Ops to help us raise and close these vehicles. This person works primarily behind the scenes, keeping our active fundraising processes moving while proactively planning for future fundraises: focused research, stakeholder mapping, meetings coordinated, pipeline current, follow-up sent, partners supported and processes driven toward close. It is closer to a high-quality sales-support role than to traditional, investor-facing IR. Over time, it can grow into broader investor relations support or possibly into an investment team position.

What you will own

- Own and maintain the fundraising pipeline from active conversations through close, keeping CRM intelligence, notes, follow-ups and analytics current. Actions uses Affinity, although experience with another CRM is transferable.

- Build highly targeted, niche engagement plans rather than broad lead lists. When partners attend an event, identify the specific people they should prioritize and prepare the context needed for a focused conversation.

- Coordinate calls, meetings and investor visits with prospective investors, and keep every next step, note and follow-up on track.

- Draft and send timely, thoughtful email follow-up after every interaction.

- Support partners through long, complex fundraising cycles that may run from six months to two or three years. Use weekly pipeline reviews to assess momentum across active conversations, surface next steps and keep progress moving between touchpoints.

- Synthesize investor context and prepare partner briefings: who has spoken with the investor, what they need, what has resonated and which area of the fund or portfolio is most relevant.

- Organize internal handoffs so questions reach the right person and are answered quickly.

- Help improve the team’s fundraising process, pipeline discipline and visibility across a target list of 120–200+ contacts at different stages.

Requirements

We are looking for a mid-level professional with 5+ years of experience, excellent spoken and written English, that is extremely hungry and proactive. The first priority is someone who has worked in private equity, venture capital, wealth management, a family office or another buy-side investment fund and understands how fundraising and deal-flow processes from an LP perspective operates from the inside. Experience working with family offices and institutional investors is especially valuable.

A second relevant background is enterprise sales or business development in software or technology, particularly someone experienced with sophisticated clients and long, complex sales cycles. Across either background, the person must be highly effective with people, exceptionally disciplined about follow-up and comfortable working closely with senior partners and stakeholders. They should understand when to reach out, when to wait and how to add value at each touchpoint. They should also be fluent in AI tools, CRM-based pipeline management and bring sound judgment, a strong point of view, positive energy in challenging moments and the initiative to take ownership without waiting to be directed.

This is not a lead-generation role, and candidates are not expected to bring a contact book. The value lies in knowing our pipeline, how each partner wants to communicate, tagging everything appropriately and supporting the relationships.
