Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Analyst I to join our Cybersecurity team. This role is responsible for cybersecurity monitoring, investigation, incident response, and continuous improvement activities designed to protect company systems, applications, and data.

The Cybersecurity Analyst I assists with the identification and response to potential security events, documents findings and response activities, and supports established operational processes and procedures. This position works closely with technical teams across the organization to help maintain and enhance the organization’s cybersecurity posture.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

- Monitor and review cybersecurity events and activities for potential security concerns.
- Perform triage and investigation of security alerts, events, and reported incidents.
- Document findings, actions taken, and investigation results in accordance with established procedures.
- Support cybersecurity incident response activities, including investigation, containment, remediation, and recovery efforts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support the security of organizational systems, applications, and information assets.
- Assist with the evaluation and improvement of security monitoring and response processes.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of operational documentation, procedures, and playbooks.
- Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends.
- Participate in audits, compliance activities, training, and other cybersecurity initiatives.
- Perform other team related responsibilities and assignments as needed.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, networking concepts, operating systems, and information technology environments.
- Familiarity with security monitoring, incident response, or information security concepts.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications, such as CompTIA Security+ or equivalent, are preferred.
