YOUR ROLE

We are seeking a skilled Packet Core Integration Engineer with proven experience in Packet Core (PACO) solutions and Nokia CMM environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for the deployment, integration, testing, migration, software upgrades, and operational support of Packet Core platforms, ensuring successful project delivery and smooth transition into operations.

The role requires strong technical expertise in Packet Core technologies, troubleshooting capabilities, customer interaction, and the ability to work closely with project, care, and support teams throughout the entire solution lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deployment & Integration

Lead onboarding, deployment, integration, and configuration of Packet Core (PACO) nodes.

- Deliver solutions in line with approved LLDs.

- Prepare, validate, and execute instantiation templates, deployment activities, and MOPs.

- Ensure deployment quality, compliance, and adherence to Nokia best practices.

- Testing & Validation

Execute SAT, Functional ATP, and Feature Activation Testing.

- Validate service readiness, document results, and maintain project artifacts.

- Support customer acceptance activities, issue resolution, and test plan execution.

- Troubleshooting & Support

Troubleshoot deployment, integration, and testing issues.

- Perform root cause analysis and coordinate resolutions with customers, Care teams, and TPMs.

- Manage tickets through JIRA, Salesforce, or similar tools.

- Provide post-deployment stabilization and agreed L2 support.

- Migration Activities

Support Packet Core migration projects, including planning, execution, rollback preparation, and validation.

- Ensure minimal service impact during migration and transition activities.

- Software Upgrade Activities

Prepare MOPs and supporting documentation for upgrade projects.

- Execute lab testing, contribute to Golden MOPs, and perform PACO software upgrades.

- Provide post-upgrade support alongside Care and 4LS teams during critical situations.

- Participate in 4-Eye validation processes to ensure quality and compliance.

- Documentation & Knowledge Management

Prepare technical documentation, reports, and project artifacts.

- Deliver KT sessions to customers and internal teams.

- Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement initiatives.

- Ensure compliance with internal processes, JIRA workflows, and operational best practices.

- Contribute to PACO node certification development with KMCD and relevant competency organizations.

- Handover & Operational Readiness

Support Delivery-to-Care transition activities.

- Ensure completion of deployment documentation, operational procedures, and project deliverables for handover.

- Work closely with Care teams to ensure service adoption and operational readiness.

YOUR PROFILE

- Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

- 3-5+ years of experience in telecom integration, deployment, or support.

- Proven experience with Packet Core solutions in customer-facing projects.

- Experience in software upgrade and migration projects is highly desirable.

- Technical Expertise

Strong hands-on experience with:

Packet Core (PACO) solutions

- Nokia CMM (Cloud Mobility Manager)

- Packet Core deployment and integration activities

- Experience with:

Node onboarding and instantiation

- Packet Core platform configuration and integration

- ATP and Functional Testing

- Software upgrades and migration projects

- MOP preparation and validation

- Technical troubleshooting and fault analysis

- Knowledge of:

Linux operating systems

- IP networking fundamentals

- Virtualized and cloud-native telecom environments

- Experience using:

JIRA

- Salesforce or similar ticketing platforms

- Log, trace, alarm, and system output analysis for troubleshooting

- Preferred Experience

Nokia Packet Core portfolio

- Cloud-native telecom applications

- Kubernetes/OpenShift environments

- CI/CD and automation tools

- 4G EPC and 5G Core Networks

- Telecom integration and migration projects in live customer networks
