SSI is seeking a Commercial Solutions Opening Integrator for a role in Colorado Springs, CO.
This role requires an experienced professional who can bridge commercial solution providers, government acquisition and engineering organizations, and existing Programs of Record. You will be responsible for tracking CSO-selected solutions through each phase of assessment, prototyping, testing, maturation, transition, and production, and for coordinating the technical and programmatic activities necessary to integrate successful capabilities into existing programs and operational environments.
Role and Responsibilities include:
Track commercial solutions through the full CSO lifecycle, from initial selection and technical assessment through prototyping, demonstration, testing, transition planning, production, and integration into existing programs.
Develop and maintain solution-level integration roadmaps, schedules, dependencies, risks, decision points, entrance and exit criteria, and transition actions to provide clear visibility of each capability’s progress toward operational use.
Coordinate technical assessments, demonstrations, test activities, cybersecurity requirements, interface definition, data integration, and operational evaluations to determine solution readiness and integration feasibility.
Collaborate with Program Managers, Contracting Officers, System Engineers, software teams, commercial vendors, operators, and external stakeholders to resolve integration issues and ensure transition objectives are met within schedule, technical, and budget constraints.
Support transition planning between CSO efforts and receiving programs, including identification of required architecture changes, interfaces, infrastructure, accreditation, sustainment, contracting, funding, and production considerations.
Provide acquisition and program integration support for follow-on actions required to move successful CSO capabilities into production, including acquisition strategies, Statements of Work (SOWs), technical evaluations, cost estimates, transition agreements, and other supporting documentation.
Use agile program management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira and Confluence) to maintain traceability of requirements, actions, risks, dependencies, test results, and transition status across multiple commercial solutions and receiving programs.
Required Qualifications:
- Min. 10 years of experience with BS degree, 8 years with Masters degree.
- Demonstrated experience developing complex space system models and simulations in AFSIM is a must. Additional experience with industry standard tools such as STK and/or SOAP is highly desired/
- Demonstrated experience developing simulation scripts and interface code using government supportable software languages such as Python, and/or Matlab.
- 5+ years of space system modeling and simulation experience including analyzing modeling and simulation results.
- In depth understanding of MW/MT systems and operations.
- STEM bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred).
- SCI and Special Access eligibility (mandatory), with knowledge of how to work in a classified and compartmented working environment is highly desired.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to understand complex technical issues and produce recommendations for a wide audience.
- Have a background of applying analytical problem solving at the tactical, operational and strategic levels of war across multiple DoD organizations.
- Ability to apply a variety of analysis techniques to identify operational shortfalls of U.S. space capabilities and concepts and make recommendations for future architectures.
- Ability to quickly create decision-quality materials for senior leaders.
- Ability to apply critical thinking in complex and dynamic organizational environments.
- Experience with space design, architecture, and/or system development (desired).
- Knowledge of how to work in a classified and compartmented working environment is required.
- Current polygraph (within 5 years) is desired.
- Active TS clearance with in-scope T5/SSBI is required, along with SCI eligibility and participation in Continuous Evaluation.
- Must meet all requirements for SCI and SAP access and be willing to undergo a polygraph examination.
- Travel is 10%.

Target salary range: $180,000 - $230,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors. We offer medical/dental/vision benefits and 401k contribution.
