Responsibilities:

- Provide technical leadership and day-to-day support to the service technician team.

- Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, drivability, and diagnostic concerns.

- Assist technicians with difficult or repeat repairs and help develop effective diagnostic strategies.

- Work with General Motors TAC and other GM technical resources to resolve difficult vehicle concerns and follow recommended repair procedures.

- Review repair procedures, diagnostic information, service bulletins, and technical resources to ensure repairs are completed correctly.

- Monitor repair quality and help ensure vehicles are repaired correctly and efficiently.

- Ensure technicians follow dealership safety policies, manufacturer procedures, and proper shop practices.

- Monitor and maintain required GM and dealership training requirements for the technician team.

- Identify technician training and development needs and communicate those needs to service management.

IDEAL CANDIDATE POSSESSES THESE ATTRIBUTES:

- 5+ years previous experience as an automotive technician, lead technician, or shop foreman.

- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

- GM dealership or GM-certified master technician experience preferred.

- Experience communicating with GM Technical Assistance Center (TAC) is strongly preferred.

- Strong understanding of manufacturer repair procedures and technical service information.

- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
