How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Support the Pharmacist by accurately preparing, compounding, and distributing specialty medications to ensure continuity of patient care and safety.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, automated dispensing systems, and supply logistics to maintain medication availability and prevent potential drug shortages.
- Serve as a patient advocate and liaison, actively coordinating benefit investigation, prior authorization, and financial assistance to ensure prompt medication access.
- Collaborate with the care team to prepare patient education materials and perform advanced technical duties, including monitoring regulatory compliance.
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Pharmacy intern would be acceptable in lieu of.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Additional Preferences:
- IV/Sterile Compounding Certification
- Inpatient Hospital Experience
