Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Construction Phase Plans to ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Lead and oversee all site health and safety activities, ensuring a safe working environment for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Establish, implement, and continuously improve safety policies, procedures, and best practices across project sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with statutory and company requirements.
- Monitor the effectiveness of the safety management system and recommend corrective and preventive actions where required.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and ensure timely implementation of corrective measures.
- Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training programs to promote a strong safety culture and safe working practices.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities on all health and safety matters.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly health and safety reports to the Client, Project Team, and relevant stakeholders.
- Provide professional advice and guidance to project teams to ensure safety considerations are integrated into all project activities.
- Promote a proactive safety culture and drive continuous improvement in workplace health and safety performance.
Qualifications
- Degree holder in Occupational Safety & Health, Construction Management, Engineering, or other relevant safety/construction-related disciplines.
- Holder of a recognised Safety Supervisor Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Registered Safety Officer (RSO) status is mandatory.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in health and safety management within construction, fit-out, refurbishment, workplace, or facility projects.
- Demonstrated experience in monitoring and managing HSE compliance across construction and renovation works for office and facility premises.
- Strong knowledge of Hong Kong health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced project environment.
- Good command of both English and Cantonese , with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working on corporate office fit-out, commercial workplace, data centre, or critical facility projects.
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 and other recognised safety management systems is an advantage.
