ADVERTISING TITLE: CORRECTIONAL PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR - SES
This open competitive advertisement is for a SES (Select Exempt Service) position located in the Office of Programs and Re-Entry in the Career and Technical Education Services & Grants section .
The purpose of the Correctional Program Administrator-SES is to provide leadership and supervision for Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, manage federal Perkins grant administration, oversee staff and program development, ensure compliance and collaboration with state and workforce agencies, and facilitate the effective delivery of vocational services to inmates transitioning to the community.
This position is not a telework position and is required to report to Central Office located in Tallahassee Florida .
JOB DUTIES:
- Leads and supervises staff, including hiring, training, evaluating, and directing their work.
- Oversees planning, development, and reporting for Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, ensuring they meet state standards.
- Manages all aspects of the federal Perkins CTE grant, including budgeting, compliance, and program design.
- Collects and analyzes data to recommend improvements or changes to programs and ensures smooth delivery of services to inmates.
- Builds partnerships with state agencies and workforce boards, handles special projects, and communicates with the public and department leadership.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license.
- Must possess a bachelor’s degree or 4 years of Career/ Technical Education Administrative experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess two (2) years of Federal Grant administrative experience.
