Job Description:

As a key member of the Defense Product Integration Engineering team, you will focus on planning and execution of cross-drive transmission integration development and validation into powerpacks and vehicles. You will be the subject matter expert in performance, integration and optimization of the transmission in the powertrain system. Ensuring optimized transmission integration and electronic controls are implemented to improve drivability, reliability, and performance for targeted applications. Key contributions may involve designing tests, performing validation activities, analyzing data, summarizing and reporting results, and collaborating with customers and OEM's. You will lead the investigation of fielded product issues, taking and analyzing data, compiling results, developing recommendations and producing reports.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess program opportunity requirements in support of technical solution development
- Use Allison developed tools to develop vehicle predictive performance
- Work directly with internal and external customers to develop and execute project plans
- Travel as required to complete installation reviews and perform product evaluations
- Create, optimize, and validate product calibrations
- Diagnose and address product findings
- Prepare technical data packages, such as installation documents, test procedures, performance specifications and assist in product technical data creation

Qualifications:

·       BS or MS Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

·       Proficiency in written and spoken business communication skills

·       Experience in powertrain design engineering and/or test

·       Experience with data analysis and tools

Experience:

·       7+ years with BS or MS Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

·       Proficiency in written and spoken business communication skills

·       Experience in powertrain design engineering and/or test

·       Experience with data analysis and tools

Travel or Physical Demands:

Up to 25%

Office/Manufacturing  Environment
