About this role

YOUR IMPACT

The Wealth Solutions and Private Bank Training, Onboarding and Development Vice President will lead the design, delivery, and continuous enhancement of onboarding, training, and development across the Wealth Solutions and Private Bank platform, including Private Bank, Private Family Office, Goldman Sachs Family Office, Goldman Sachs Trust Company, Wealth Strategy, Capital Markets, Managed Strategies, Equity Structuring, Alternative Capital Markets and related specialist businesses. This role will build a consistent, business-specific learning experience that accelerates new hire integration, deepens product and platform fluency, strengthens technical capabilities, and helps professionals understand how each business contributes to the broader Wealth Management client and advisor experience.

The individual will partner closely with Wealth Solutions, Private Bank and Talent Strategy leadership to evaluate current training resources, identify gaps against business priorities, and re-underwrite the onboarding curriculum for campus, lateral and role-based entry points. The role requires a commercially minded learning leader who can translate complex, fast-evolving businesses, tools and workflows into practical training pathways, while using peer analysis and market benchmarking to ensure the Wealth Solutions and Private Bank learning model remains differentiated, scalable and execution-oriented.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

- Lead the end-to-end onboarding experience for Wealth Solutions and Private Bank professionals, ensuring consistency where appropriate and tailored depth where business models, client segments, regulatory considerations or product complexity differ.
- Design and deliver training programs that build technical expertise, product knowledge, advisor enablement, client engagement skills and fluency across core Wealth Solutions and Private Bank businesses, tools and workflows.
- Review and inventory current training content, resource hubs, playbooks, vendor materials, AI prompts, knowledge libraries and adoption resources to determine what should be preserved, refreshed, retired or scaled.
- Re-underwrite the onboarding curriculum across campus, lateral and internal mobility populations, incorporating self-study, live training, business-led sessions, office hours and applied case studies.
- Develop role-based learning journeys that support consistency, career growth and progression across analysts, associates, vice presidents, executive directors and managing directors, with clear expectations by business, level and point of entry.
- Partner with senior business leaders, product owners, COOs, regional leads, managers and advisors to identify capability gaps, development priorities and emerging learning needs tied to business growth, risk management and adoption of new tools.
- Create and maintain practical learning resources, onboarding guides, toolkits, quick-reference materials and knowledge assets that improve employee effectiveness and reduce dependency on informal knowledge transfer.
- Facilitate virtual and in-person training programs, workshops, and development sessions.
- Manage a structured continuing education framework that promotes ongoing learning and growth.
- Leverage technology, AI-enabled tools, adoption dashboards and digital learning platforms to improve training effectiveness, tracking, scale self-service support and reinforce consistent use of priority Wealth Solutions and Private Bank tooling.
- Measure program effectiveness through feedback and development metrics, using insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Conduct peer analysis and internal/external benchmarking to compare onboarding, technical training, and specialist development models across the Firm, relevant financial services, private bank, wealth management and family office peers.
- Partner with the broader Talent Strategy team and business leadership on talent development, career progression, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Foster knowledge sharing, best-practice exchange and peer learning across Wealth Solutions and Private Bank teams, with intentional forums that connect specialist expertise to advisor and client outcomes.
- Maintain centralized learning content and resource libraries, including Knowledge Bank-style hubs, playbooks, curricula and user guides, to keep materials current, searchable, accessible and tied to active business priorities.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Strategy, Human Capital Management, or a related field
- Knowledge of Wealth Management, Private Banking, Wealth Solutions, Capital Markets, investment products, fiduciary services, family office services, wealth planning or the broader financial services industry
- Experience designing and delivering scalable learning programs, curricula, and talent development initiatives
- Strong facilitation, presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to translate business priorities, product complexity, platform adoption needs and risk considerations into role-based learning journeys, development frameworks and practical training solutions
- Familiarity with learning technologies, enterprise knowledge platforms, AI-enabled tools, adoption dashboards and digital training channels
- Experience conducting peer analysis, benchmarking, capability assessments or program reviews to inform curriculum design and operating model decisions
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across regions and stakeholder groups
- Data-driven, execution-oriented approach with a focus on measuring impact, continuous improvement, and business outcomes
