The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing various trust products and ensuring fiduciary responsibility as well as compliance with regulatory requirements. How You Will Make an Impact

Compliance & Risk Management:

- Oversee compliance policies and programs related to fiduciary compliance, AML, KYC, and regulatory reporting

- Ensure adherence to applicable AML laws, including Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act requirements

- Conduct periodic compliance testing, internal reviews, and monitoring of trust accounts and products

- Identify, assess, and mitigate fiduciary and regulatory risks

- Provide staff training on fiduciary responsibilities, AML/KYC requirements and compliance procedures

- Collaborate with internal audit and risk management teams, to ensure strong internal controls

- Stay current with changes in trust laws, banking regulations, and Colorado-specific trust company requirements

Trust & Fiduciary Oversight

- Administer and oversee trust accounts, Common Trust Funds (CTFs), and Collective Investment Funds (CIFs) or other applicable trust investment vehicles in accordance with governing instruments and fiduciary standards

- Provide expert guidance to internal stakeholders regarding fiduciary risk and trust administration best practices

- Participate and advise in the development and implementation of new fiduciary products and specialized investment vehicles

- Review and approve trust agreements and governing documents

- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including Regulation 9 and applicable guidance from the State of Colorado

- Partner with tax, operations, and managed services teams to ensure comprehensive client service

- Conduct periodic administrative reviews of trust accounts and collective funds

Required Experience

- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as law, business, or finance

- Strong knowledge of trust laws and regulations

- Strong knowledge of compliance regulations, including AML and KYC

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential compliance risks

- Minimum 5 years of experience in a trust or compliance role, preferably in a financial institution

What Sets You Apart (preferred qualifications)

- Professional certification, such as a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)

- Knowledge of and experience with Colorado state regulations and laws governing chartered trust companies

Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.

Colorado: The expected base salary for the position is between 85,000 USD to 100,000 USD.

In addition, employees in this role may be eligible for consideration on an annual basis for a discretionary bonus and/or equity awards, such as restricted stock units or stock options, based upon individual and business performance at the company’s discretion.
