Security Officer - 3rd Shift

Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray a wide variety of fluid and powder materials. What does that mean? Well, we pump peanut butter into your jar, and the oil in your car. We glue the soles of your shoes, the glass in your windows and the screen on your phone. We spray the finish on your vehicle, coatings on your pills, the paint on your house and texture on your walls. Graco is part of your daily life.

Perform duties relating to the overall security and safety of Company employees and facilities, property, and parking areas. Maintain control over entry and exit of employees and visitors as per established security guidelines and Company practices.

Shift: Sunday - Thursday 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

What You Will Do at Graco

- Patrol assigned buildings and grounds for the purpose of enforcing Company rules and regulations, protecting the Company, life, and the property of employees.
- Check to see that gates or doors are properly secured and windows closed, and check the status of other Company facilities or equipment (such as test cells), and perform tasks such as shutting off lights and fans, etc. Note, investigate, document, and report to coordinator/manager or appropriate individual any unusual occurrence of a suspicious nature.
- Protect entrances to control entry and departure of persons, and prohibit entry of unauthorized persons into Graco or restricted areas.
- Check credentials and register visitors in and out.
- Issue badges to visitors, contractors, and employees.
- Monitor and troubleshoot electronic fire, security, camera, and intercom systems. Must be proficient in all systems.
- Maintain order in emergencies.
- Cooperate with all city, state, and federal agencies. Provide information and/or assistance as required.
- Notify 911 in a medical emergency and perform first aid/CPR as needed.
- Notify facilities, management, and contractors as required based on power outages, gas leaks, elevator problems, etc. Notify the ERT team for spills.
- Control removal of Company property from the facility and investigate, document, and report any unusual occurrences of a suspicious or undesirable nature.
- Ensure that security databases, logs, and incident reports are accurate and complete.
- Receive phone calls and notify interested parties in case of an emergency.
- Sign for certain mail, parcel post, express shipments as required.
- Assist the cleaning crew with coordinating special cleaning requirements.
- Assist facilities maintenance with coordination of work orders.
- Complete weekly and monthly audits of building security and safety issues. Complete badge inventory daily.
- Make badges for new employees and replacement badges for current employees utilizing the Badgit system.
- Work with employees signing out lockers, issuing keys, radios, giving out credit union information, assisting with building tours.
- Completes weekly and monthly audits of building security and safety issues. Completes badge inventory daily.
- Complete all paperwork as required. Update post orders as needed.
- Complete additional duties assigned by coordinator/management, such as data entry, filing, organizing, etc.

What You Will Bring to Graco

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Good written or verbal communication skills.
- Polite and professional.
- Personal computer experience.
- Demonstrated good attendance record.
- Minnesota valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Experience Knowledge Skills/Competencies.
- Will maintain CPR and First Aid certification.

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation.  If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience.  In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees.  Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role.  Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
