The Hedging Software Developer Intern position is a rewarding experience for undergraduates or those pursuing an advanced degree in computer science or a related technical field.

During the program, Hedging Software Developer Interns will work alongside our team of software developers, quants, portfolio managers, researchers, and traders to build and maintain the systems used to assess and mitigate market risk for Allianz Life and other clients across the globe.

What you do:

- Design, build, and test production quality C#/.NET software for the internal system that our trading desk relies on.
- Improve existing platform components including market data feeds, automated workflow tooling, and distributed computing systems.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools (e.g. generative AI, coding assistants).
- Gain exposure to the financial and quantitative concepts underlying the system, without requiring an existing quant background.

What you bring:

- Progress toward an undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science or a related field.
- Solid programming fundamentals (data structures, object-oriented design); experience with C#/.NET and SQL is a plus.
- Interest in building production, business-critical software for a trading desk; a finance background is not required.
- An outstanding record of academic achievement.
- You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require immigration sponsorship for visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B, L-1, TN, etc). If you are currently on CPT/OPT, you are ineligible due to the need for future immigration sponsorship.

Base Salary Range $31/hr – $35/hr

Note the job posting range is exclusive of company benefits or other compensation. If you are hired, your final base salary will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, experience, skills, competencies, and/or education. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
