The Senior Manager within the Global Credit Provisions Reporting & Planning team leads key elements of the Global Credit Provisions mandate and supports strategic oversight of the processes used to establish prudent levels of allowance for credit losses (ACL) across the Bank’s global portfolios.
The incumbent will lead the end-to-end aggregation, governance, analysis, and reporting of Global Credit ACL and Provision for Credit Losses (PCL) within a robust control environment. The role is accountable for the integrity of financial booking and disclosure outputs, provides leadership on emerging projects and transformation initiatives.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Lead the consolidation, validation, and analysis of Global Credit Provisions metrics for monthly and quarterly reporting, establish analytical standards, and oversee automated controls aligned with the Bank’s end-user computing (EUC) directive.
- Own the quarterly financial disclosure process for ACL and PCL, providing oversight and challenge to ensure data completeness, accuracy, consistency, and alignment with IFRS 9, accounting policy, and internal control requirements.
- Set the strategic roadmap for process modernization and lead the design and implementation of AI-enabled tools, automation, data analytics, and dashboards to strengthen reporting, reconciliation, forecasting, and control effectiveness.
- Lead the development and ongoing evolution of provisions metrics dashboards and executive reporting, delivering timely insights on ACL, PCL, portfolio trends, key drivers, emerging risks, and control indicators to senior management and governance committees.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with Finance, Credit Risk, Business Lines, Model Risk, Technology, and Internal and External Audit; lead issue resolution, communicate material developments, and drive timely decisions across stakeholders.
- Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and performance direction to team members, establish priorities and quality standards, and build capability through effective delegation, knowledge transfer, and succession development.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- University degree in finance, accounting, data science, analytics, mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline; a professional designation or advanced degree is an asset.
- Demonstrated leadership in applying AI-enabled tools, automation technologies, and advanced analytics to redesign processes, strengthen controls, and deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, scalability, and insight.
- A minimum of five years of progressive experience in credit risk and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of analytical and automation technologies, including SAS, SQL, Python, VBA, or comparable tools, with the ability to set direction and challenge technical methodologies and outputs.
- Deep knowledge of industry trends, regulatory requirements, IFRS 9, and leading practices in credit provisioning, financial reporting, governance, and internal controls.
- Strong executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex provision results into clear, decision-oriented insights for senior management and governance committees.
