POSITION SUMMARY
The Mission of Hope Christian Prep is to provide a high-quality, early childhood education to the families in our community to connect them to live the life of a Jesus Follower.
A classroom assistant supports the lesson planning teacher with all daily needs from cleaning & disinfecting the classroom to preparing the daily supplies and assisting students.
This is a weekday morning, school-year commitment. There is no Summer program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understanding of appropriate development for ages 2 through 6
- Read and follow age-appropriate lesson plans daily
- Prep classroom and materials for daily plans
- Follow leadership of the classroom lesson planning teacher
- Assist with proper classroom management as it pertains to behavior, schedule, health, and safety
- Assist with appropriate classroom cleanness and disinfecting
- Communicate clearly with students, classroom teacher and parents
- Obtain Childcare Licensing background check prior to start date
- Obtain First Aid/CPR Certification prior to start date
- Obtain Negative Tuberculin skin test prior to start date
- Secure Nevada Registry Membership within 90 days
- Maintain 24 hours of required CEU Training annually
- Commit to the full school year
- Monitor and respond to Hope Church emails daily
- Thrive in an energetic, positive environment
- Complete all requirements within 90-day probationary period
