Job Description

With limited supervision, responsible applying professional expertise to perform complex experiments and process monitoring. Microscopy Technician leads equipment setups, troubleshoots issues, analyzes results, mentors junior staff, and contributes to process improvements.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Develop and presents detailed data analyses to engineering for yield improvement and product qualification.
- Lead equipment setup and optimization efforts, ensuring higher efficiency and quality standards.
- Monitor equipment and process performance independently.
- Perform and oversee preventative and unscheduled maintenance activities, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Provide training and guidance to junior technicians and line operators.
- Execute complex and moderately difficult process tests and experiments.

- Ability to communicate complex technical information to varied audiences.
- Effective leadership and mentoring skills.
- Proficiency in maintenance planning and execution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities for complex investigations.
- Works independently with accountability for quality and timeliness.
- Broad and deep understanding of semiconductor processes and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certification, & Licensure)

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of relevant industry experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in US without sponsorship

Physical Demands and Work Conditions

The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Job duties are often performed in confined areas in a clean room environment, in awkward positions and/or in high places.

- Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds is required
- May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing
- May require the use of Personal Protective Equipment
- Duties also include application of proper industry safety procedures when working with dangerous elements or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc.
- Occasional travel to TEL factories, training facilities and customer locations may be required
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
