SAP Specialist

Job Title: Order Administration Specialist Analytical Instrumentation Remote Position: Only candidates within a 100 mile radius of Tucson, AZ will be considered. Job Description This role supports a leading global provider of advanced analytical instrumentation by managing the end-to-end order administration process. You will create and coordinate quotes, bids, and sales orders using SAP, while providing timely and accurate support to internal teams and external customers. The position is ideal for a self-starter who enjoys working with complex data, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to high-quality customer service in a scientific and manufacturing-focused environment. Responsibilities

- Create accurate and timely quotes and bids based on customer requests and internal guidelines.
- Convert customer purchase orders into sales orders in SAP, ensuring all details are correctly captured and aligned with contractual terms.
- Coordinate the full sales order process from entry through completion, monitoring progress and resolving issues as needed.
- Provide follow-up communication to customers regarding order status when requested, ensuring clear, professional, and timely updates.
- Support the preparation and issuance of order acknowledgements, confirming order details and timelines with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate data entry in SAP and related systems, ensuring consistency, completeness, and compliance with company standards.
- Collaborate with logistics, finance, and manufacturing teams to support smooth order processing and on-time delivery.
- Apply strong attention to detail to identify and correct discrepancies in orders, pricing, and customer information.
- Support general administrative tasks related to order management and customer follow-up as required.

Essential Skills

- 35 years of experience in an order administration or finance role, preferably within a manufacturing or similar industry environment.
- Working knowledge of SAP with extensive experience in the SD (Sales and Distribution) module.
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent written communication skills for clear, professional email and document preparation.
- Excellent verbal communication skills for effective interaction with customers and internal teams.
- Ability to work as a self-starter, taking initiative to manage tasks and follow up without constant supervision.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new processes and systems quickly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Experience supporting logistics, order processing, or customer service functions in a manufacturing or technology-driven environment.
- Familiarity with administrative processes related to quotes, bids, and sales order management.
- Comfort working with complex technical products and documentation, such as scientific or analytical instrumentation.
- Proven track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams such as sales, finance, and operations.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing responsive and reliable support.

The role involves extensive use of SAP, particularly the SD module, along with standard office software for data entry, documentation, and communication. This is a Contract position based out of Tucson, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
