Responsibilities:

- Demonstrated experience using AVEVA E3D to develop and review 3D piping models, equipment layouts, piping routings, clash detection activities, and multidisciplinary design deliverables in complex industrial or nuclear environments.
- Perform piping engineering design and analysis activities in accordance with applicable codes, standards, regulatory requirements, project procedures, and customer specifications.
- Prepare and contribute to piping engineering deliverables, including calculations, technical specifications, piping material specifications, line lists, data sheets, drawings, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate in the preparation and review of piping and instrumentation diagrams and support the development and maintenance of piping line lists.
- Assist with the selection and specification of piping materials, components, specialty items, and valves based on system requirements and service conditions.
- Perform piping flexibility and stress analyses using recognized engineering tools such as AutoPIPE or CAESAR II, with guidance and technical review from senior engineers as required.
- Evaluate piping loads, equipment nozzle loads, thermal expansion, support requirements, and other design considerations affecting piping system integrity.
- Design and evaluate pipe supports and contribute to the preparation of standard and specialized pipe-support drawings for fabrication and installation.
- Apply applicable pressure-piping codes and standards, including relevant ASME and CSA requirements, to piping design and engineering activities.
- Support the preparation of technical specifications and scopes of work for piping fabrication, testing, inspection, painting, insulation, and heat tracing.
- Provide engineering support for the procurement of piping materials, components, specialty items, and valves, including technical bid evaluations, vendor-document reviews, and resolution of technical questions.
- Review vendor and contractor documentation to confirm alignment with project specifications, engineering requirements, and applicable codes and standards.
- Support pressure-piping registration activities with applicable regulatory authorities where required.
- Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews, risk assessments, technical discussions, and interdisciplinary model reviews.
- Work closely with process, mechanical, structural, civil, instrumentation, electrical, procurement, construction, and project-management teams to support coordinated project delivery.
- Provide technical support during fabrication, inspection, installation, testing, commissioning, and field implementation.
- Assist with resolving technical issues and field queries by gathering relevant information, evaluating options, and developing practical, compliant solutions.
- Communicate technical information clearly through engineering documentation, design discussions, presentations, and interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Take ownership of assigned deliverables by managing priorities, following through on commitments, and raising technical, quality, or schedule concerns when appropriate.
- Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive team environment by seeking input, sharing knowledge, and supporting collective project outcomes.
- Demonstrate a consistent commitment to nuclear safety, quality assurance, procedural compliance, and continuous improvement.
