The Baccarat Hotel is seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong culinary background, exceptional leadership skills, and a dedication to maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation. Previous experience working in a union environment, local 6 is required .  NYC food protection certificate is required.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations and staff.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs.
- Develop and test new recipes, ensuring they meet our standards and guest expectations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and seasonal menus.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as an Executive Sous Chef in a high-end or luxury dining establishment.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- NYC food protection certificate is required.
