What You'll Do and Who We Are Looking For
This is a Temporary position ending June 20, 2027.
Part-time .5 FTE (approximately 1040 hours per year)
Schedule to be announced; evening shifts may be required.
The Rock Creek Campus Gym/Physical Education Building (PEB) Coordinator (Instructional Support Technician III in the PCC Classification system), collaborates closely with both the Director of Athletics and Rock Creek campus Physical Education Chairperson to provide support of all operations that occur in the Rock Creek Gym.
Oversight and coordination of part-time workers (Casual employees), and providing administrative and technical support for the Rock Creek campus Physical Education Department are the primary duties. In addition, the position is responsible for the general cleanliness, basic security and some small maintenance of Rock Creek Gym/equipment.
Duties:
1. Oversight of the Rock Creek Gym operations. This duty includes training, scheduling and payments, etc.). managing part-time (casuals) employees that staff the front desk area. In addition, supervising all equipment check out, providing relevant information to all facility users including, students, staff, instructors, and the public.
2. Support of all Physical Education classes taught at the Rock Creek Gym, Weight Room, Dance Studio and outdoor areas.This includes helping with preparation of classrooms/spaces for instruction, maintaining equipment, and assisting instructors as needed.
3. Providing assistance with record maintenance for all Rock Creek campus Physical Education courses. This includes assisting instructors with ordering equipment, lesson preparation including any photocopying and or distribution of materials/equipment.
4. Supervise, oversee and participate in cleaning and sanitizing of all areas of the Rock Creek GYM Including classroom/workout areas, heavy traffic common areas (front desk, stairs), and locker room spaces.
5. Provide support in the planning and implementation of all Rock Creek Gym/PEB events. This includes facilitating logistics (contracts, communication, invoices).
6. Schedule basic repairs on Gym equipment and maintain contact with appropriate vendors.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and two years of post-secondary education in a specific technical discipline appropriate to the instructional support (business administration, office administration, etc) Relevant experience may substitute for the post-secondary education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Two years of experience supporting Building Administration activities are required. Must have proven communications skills adequate to assist students in understanding the work they are to perform and ability to lead others.
American Red Cross CPR or AHA. Either can be obtained in the first 30 days.
Success Criteria (throughout the screening process, you will be evaluated based on your demonstration of the following criteria):
1. Experience training, scheduling, coordinating, and managing student employees.
2. Knowledge of administrative support functions, office practices and student learning environment settings; ability to work cooperatively and creatively to perform tasks necessary for efficient operation of the Rock Creek Campus Gym.
3. Experience working with an Athletics program, and/ or familiarity working in an athletic/physical education environment.
4. Accomplished in use of technology, data management and social media.
5. Evidence of professionalism, excellent communication skills and a strong record of flexibility and reliability.
6. Experience interacting thoughtfully and courteously with students, employees and the public in a culturally competent manner.
7. Experience resolving conflicts between diverse individuals in a professional manner.

How We Determine Initial Salary Placement
The first two steps of the range are: $26.40 to $27.20 per year. Higher salary placement may be available based on qualifications, experience and internal equity.
