Position Summary
The Senior Asset Manager will oversee the administration of a portion of the organizations portfolio and ensure that they maintain strong physical and financial well-being, comply with legal and regulatory requirements as well as fulfill all internal and external reporting requirements in an accurate and timely manner. The Senior Asset Manager will participate during the development process for new properties, to include the review of selected materials including proposed operating budgets. This position will also serve as a key contact for investors, lenders and regulatory agencies. The Senior Asset Manager will also work under the direction of the Associate Director and CFO to improve property performance and systems across the portfolio.
Qualifications
Equivalent Education, Experiences, Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, or related field highly preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in multifamily residential property management. Specific knowledge of affordable programs, Tax Credit, HUD, LAHD, HCD, and CDLAC.
- Knowledge of public and private housing finance programs, including but not limited to, HUD, HOME, and Section 8 programs, LIHTC, and tax-exempt bonds.
- Ability to review and negotiate LPAs, loan agreements, regulatory agreements, and settlements.
- Proficiency in reading and responding to property audit, investor, and lender reporting.
- Proficiency in reading tax returns.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Commitment to excellent customer service; ability to demonstrate empathy and compassion in decision-making and communications.
- Understanding of the complex social and housing needs and issues of lower-income individuals, families, and seniors.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with demonstrated ability to exercise tact and diplomacy.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills as well as understanding pf accounting principles.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks under fixed time constraints and deadlines.
- AI experience a plus.
- Ability to travel within the companys portfolio.
Compensation and Benefits
Offers are commensurate with the education and experience of the finalist. Additionally, a full benefits package is offered which includes: health, dental and vision insurance, long term disability insurance, 401K plan, paid vacation and sick leave benefits.
