Senior Financial Analyst

Job Description The selected candidate will be responsible for filling the role of Sr Program Financial Analyst supporting Intercontinental Biolistic Missile (ICBM) project in Layton, UT.
- Monitors and reports costs and schedules for contracts; participate in the planning, tracking, forecasting, analysis, and reporting of projects of varying contract type, size, complexity, and level of risk.

- The candidate must have good communication skills as the position will have significant interaction with Finance Manager, Project Managers, Program Directors, and many other functional organizations.

- Ability to assembling financial data for inclusion in contract closeout/review, EACs, forecasting, and variance explanations.

- Develop cost and financial reports to support government contract and internal business reporting requirements

- Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Program Start-Up, Program Maintenance, Program Close-Out, Performance Analysis, Time and Labor Recording, Reporting, and Analysis, Subcontractor Maintenance, Monthly Financial Close, Customer Reporting, Problem Resolution and Pricing

- Interface with Program Management and Finance in the development of Annual Plans and Quarterly Forecasts including risk and opportunity analysis for consolidation in Business Area and Sector strategic planning

- Assisting Program Management in identifying potential issues and/or cost efficiencies and developing plans to resolve issues or implement efficiency improvements.

- A broad knowledge of accounting, billing, and finance would greatly benefit the performance of these duties.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business admin, or related major plus 4 years of experience or Masters and 2 years of experience
- Computer competency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

- Problem solving and in depth research and analytical skills; must be detail oriented with meticulous record-keeping skills

- Good interpersonal and communication skills used to interface with program management, financial analysts and the customer

- Effective communication including written, verbal, non-verbal, and using remote audio/video communication software

- Ability to perform under minimal direct guidance and achieve job objectives with a significant degree of independence and manage a variety of tasks
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Understanding of billing systems and account receivable

- Proficiency in Excel, CostPoint, Cognos, and Hyperion

- Basic knowledge of defense contracting regulatory environment (FAR and CAS)

- Experience with relevant applications in a defense environment

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $75254 - $127930

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
