Job Title: Capital Equipment Project Manager Job Description
Manage capital equipment and automation projects to ensure delivery dates, scope, and financial targets are met. Develop business cases for new capital projects and lead these projects using sound project management processes and principles. Facilitate training for plant personnel to support new technologies and support plant integration projects, providing post-implementation assistance.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure smooth, continuous operations.
- Manage internal, external, direct, and indirect project team resources.
- Communicate effectively at all organizational levels; strong presentation skills required.
- Manage multiple complex, multi-faceted projects simultaneously.
- Align teams to defined project charters, goals, and metrics.
- Apply systematic problem-solving tools to resolve technical challenges.
- Manage capital equipment suppliers and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Coordinate stakeholder alignment across departments.
- Partner with IT and plant teams to implement system upgrades aligned with future manufacturing projects.
Essential Skills
- Strong project management and project engineering skills.
- Familiarity with Allen-Bradley and Fanuc systems.
- Experience with capital equipment and automation.
- Ability to manage complex projects from concept through commissioning.
- Robotics and controls familiarity.
- Strong communication skills internally and with vendors to drive timelines and budget.
- Experience with project coordination and the full project life cycle.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- The ability to lead and drive capital equipment and automation projects.
- Robotics and PLC knowledge is a strong plus; however, programming and working within PLCs is not required.
- Understanding of industrial machinery design, build, and installation.
- Previous experience overseeing capital projects.
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering Discipline (mechanical, electrical, etc.).
- 6 or more years of manufacturing and operations experience.
- The ability to travel up to 30%.
Work Environment
This role will involve working in manufacturing facilities throughout the US and some international locations. The primary focus will be on implementing new automation equipment into various plants. When not traveling, work will be conducted in a new and clean corporate office, with additional state-of-the-art engineering offices being built. The position offers the opportunity to travel both domestically and internationally, up to 30% of the time.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
