Job Summary
The Internal Mobility Manager leads the company's internal transfer and workforce mobility program for Craft and Administrative employees moving between construction projects, offices, regions, and operating divisions across the United States. This position partners with Business Groups to ensure employee transfers are timely, compliant, clearly communicated, and operationally effective. The Internal Mobility Manager supports employees throughout the transition process, including assignment planning, compensation and allowance coordination, relocation logistics, and successful integration into the receiving project or business unit.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Confirm that employees receive accurate information regarding travel time, reporting instructions, subsistence, mileage, transportation, and other approved project-related benefits (e.g. uplift, travel incentive, relocation, hardship).
2. Coordinate temporary and permanent relocation support in partnership with approved vendors and internal stakeholders.
3. Coordinate the start and end dates of allowances and temporary assignment benefits.
4. Ensure mobility arrangements are consistent with company policy, approved project plans, and applicable tax rules.
5. Ensure that employees and managers receive written confirmation of assignment terms, effective dates, reporting relationships, work location, travel expectations, and applicable compensation or allowance arrangements.
6. Maintain an internal mobility calendar docket to anticipate upcoming project staffing needs and employee movement.
7. Manage the transfer process for employees moving between construction projects, offices, and operating divisions.
8. Partner with Compensation and business leaders to evaluate changes to salary, bonus eligibility, allowances, vehicle programs, relocation support, and other rewards elements.
9. Partner with project leadership to confirm new job roles, rates of pay and other related fringe benefits.
10. Serve as the primary point of contact for employees/managers regarding internal transfers and project assignments.
11. Support craft transfers involving prevailing wage, Davis-Bacon, or other contract-specific requirements.
12. Support employees returning from temporary assignments or transitioning to their next project.
13. Track employee movement between projects to ensure timely adjustment of benefits and allowances when assignments change.
14. Track transfer activity, approval status, assignment dates, required documentation, and completion milestones.
Minimum Job Requirements:
1. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
2. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; additional years of experience may substitute degree requirements.
3. Demonstrated understanding of construction operations and project-based workforce management.
4. Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
5. Experience supporting both hourly and salaried employees.
6. Experience supporting construction employees across multiple locations, projects, operating divisions, or states.
7. Five or more years of experience in Human Resources, workforce planning, talent management, employee movement, relocation, project staffing, or a related function.
8. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS, payroll, workforce management, or mobility systems.
9. Strong knowledge of HR processes involving compensation, payroll, benefits, transfers, temporary assignments, and relocation.
10. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple transfers and deadlines simultaneously.

2. Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
3. Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis.
4. Will interact with people and technology frequently during a shift/workday.
5. Will lift, push or pull objects up to 50Ibs on an occasional basis.
6. Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/workday.
7. Will use telephone, computer system, email, and other electronic devices on a frequent basis to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors.
