What you’ll be doing...

Verizon is seeking an innovative and self-driven Vulnerability Management Analyst to scale our modern Exposure and Vulnerability Management (EVM) program. In this role, you will manage the day to day operations of vulnerability assessment platforms, automate exposure pipelines, and partner with global engineering, cloud, and security operations teams to drive proactive risk reduction.

Responsibilities include:

- Platform Operations: Manage, scale, and maintain modern vulnerability assessment platforms, scanners, and underlying cloud infrastructure.
- Workflow Automation: Automate repetitive manual triage tasks, ingestion pipelines, and remediation tracking using scripting and integrations.
- Continuous Exposure Management: Drive ongoing evaluation and optimization of vulnerability identification programs to adapt to modern hybrid and cloud-native attack surfaces.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with global functional organizations and cloud engineering teams to interpret vulnerability findings and streamline remediation.
- Technical Support & Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external security vendors to troubleshoot scanning issues, API integrations, and ingestion blocks.
- Enterprise Visibility & Reporting: Drive comprehensive asset and vulnerability visibility across all corporate assets, ensuring consistent metric reporting and executive dashboards.
- Advanced Triage & Analysis: Evaluate reported zero-days, CVEs, and security bugs to ensure accurate prioritization, risk scoring, and operational deployment.
- Stakeholder Escalation & Advocacy: Drive security awareness, track SLA compliance, and manage escalations for critical unpatched assets.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

- Bachelor's degree or one or more years of work experience.
- One or more years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, focusing specifically on Vulnerability Management or Threat Exposure programs.
- Practical experience with one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and data manipulation.
- Experience with core security concepts, common vulnerability scoring systems (CVSS), and exploit mechanics.
- Hands-on experience within Security Operations, Cloud Security, or enterprise vulnerability assessment teams.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

- Familiarity with compliance standards and security frameworks (SOC 2, NIST, ISO 27001, SOX).
- Comprehensive understanding of vulnerability vectors across modern IT architectures, including cloud workloads (AWS/GCP/Azure), containers, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and traditional OS/networks.
- Working knowledge of structured data formats (JSON, YAML, XML) and RESTful APIs for automated payload ingestion and pagination handling.
- Experience leveraging AI/ML-driven security tools, automated predictive analytics, and contextual risk scoring.
- Multi-departmental project management experience driving enterprise-wide security initiatives in large organizations.
- Experience within telecommunications or highly complex, non-IT business segments.
- Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving abilities, organized execution, and the capacity to translate technical risk into business priorities.
- Positive, collaborative, and team-first mindset backed by a strong operational work ethic.
- High degree of autonomy, capable of driving complex projects independently while coordinating seamlessly across distributed teams.
- Excellent time-management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced, dynamic threat environment.

## Where you’ll be working
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
