At CESO, a BIM Manager is responsible for overall management of the Building Information Modeling (BIM) system strategy for the Architectural team and Building Engineering team in conjunction with the CAD Systems Manager / IT Department. A core responsibility is being the internal champion of BIM standards and process improvements to ensure clients are seeing projects that meet expectations, and internal staff are receiving coaching, training, and BIM support as the company improves our overall BIM offerings.

Primary Responsibilities

- Serve as the subject matter expert for BIM design and modeling projects, staying current on emerging BIM technologies, best practices, and software advancements while providing technical guidance and support to project teams.

- Develop, implement, and maintain BIM workflows, processes, and standards, and deliver training and presentations to promote consistent adoption and improve project outcomes.

- Provide leadership and mentorship to BIM users by fostering best practices, supporting professional development, and driving continuous improvement across teams.

- Develop and deploy templates, plug in tools, workflows and be a part of enhancement projects.

- Create, modify, and update BIM families in the support of others working on projects. Pair with cross-function teams if needed. Maintain related libraries.

- Develop and coordinate BIM execution plans to provide a framework for the project team to use BIM.

- Identify and analyze system and user needs, as well as equipment requirements, and provide recommendations for consideration on system improvements to the Design Technology Manager/IT and work with support staff and end users to test features and functionality.

- Support and assist with other company initiatives related to document production, company standards and drawing/modeling technologies.

- Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

- Supervising direct reports is a key responsibility of this job.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, with a minimum of 8 years of experience utilizing BIM on a variety of project types and construction/building systems is preferred;

- Or Associates degree in AEC related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience utilizing BIM on a variety of project types and construction/building systems is required;

- Or buildingSMART Professional Certification, with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience utilizing BIM on a variety of project types and construction/building systems is required.

- Specialized training in BIM software and Architectural/Engineering/Construction knowledge is required.

- Proven experience in managing staff, conducting training, and providing mentoring.

- buildingSMART Professional Certification is preferred.

- Certified BIM Manager is preferred.

- Working knowledge of Newforma Konekt, and Bluebeam/Bluebeam Studio, Navisworks, Enscape, Lumion (3D rendering software) is preferred.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), AutoCAD is required.

- Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Cloud Based Services (Forma), and Revit is required.

determined by several factors, including location, experience, education, skills, and internal equity. Our pay structures are benchmarked against industry and market data to stay competitive. Each offer is based on a full review of a candidate’s background, qualifications, and fit for the role.
 
Below are the typical new hire pay ranges for this position based on location:
 
• Akron, OH: $96,148 - $124,597
• Cleveland, OH: $101,489 - $131,519
