<b>Overview</b><br><div dir="ltr"><p>Today, <strong>Microsoft Clarity</strong> helps businesses understand what people do on their sites. The next chapter helps those same businesses understand how they show up when customers, copilots, and agents search, reason, cite, recommend, and act across the AI web. </p><p>We are looking for a <strong>Principal Product Manager</strong> to lead <strong>Clarity Commercialization</strong>, with a focus on AI Visibility, enterprise readiness, pricing and packaging, and the product capabilities needed to turn Clarity into a scaled business. This person will define how Clarity moves from broad product-led adoption into paid customer value, including the analytics, workflows, permissions, APIs, reporting, onboarding, and GTM motions needed by enterprises, agencies, sellers, and customer success teams. </p><p>This is a role for a product leader who understands analytics products, commercial product strategy, and the messy reality of building in a new market. The work sits at the intersection of web analytics, AI analytics, GEO/AI discoverability, pricing, enterprise SaaS, Microsoft Advertising, and customer-facing GTM. This expectation is subject to local law and may</span><span>vary by jurisdiction.</span></p></div><br><br><b>Responsibilities</b><br><div dir="ltr"><ul><li><p>Define and lead the product strategy for Clarity Commercialization, including paid customer scenarios, pricing and packaging inputs, enterprise readiness, GTM needs, and measurable business outcomes. </p></li><li><p>Translate customer, agency, seller, and partner feedback into clear product requirements for enterprise customers, account hierarchies, agency models, permissions, privacy-safe sharing, onboarding, and support readiness. </p></li><li><p>Define the product capabilities needed for potential paid offerings, including premium analytics, premium compute-backed features, reporting, APIs, MCP or agent integrations, customer administration, and durable value measurement. </p></li><li><p>Partner with engineering, data science, design, marketing, sales, customer success, finance, and business planning to move from strategy to shipped product, launch plans, adoption targets, and commercial outcomes. </p></li><li><p>Build the connection between product usage and business value, including activation, retention, paid conversion, revenue attribution, Microsoft Advertising value, and customer ROI. </p></li><li><p>Use data, experimentation, customer conversations, competitive signals, and field feedback to prioritize the highest-value commercialization bets and stop work that does not create customer or business value. </p></li><li><p>Create clear executive and cross-functional alignment on Clarity’s commercial roadmap, including what is free, what is paid, what is enterprise-only, and what must be built before the product can scale through sellers and partners. </p></li><li><p>Help Clarity become the trusted analytics layer for the AI economy: where businesses understand human behavior, AI-mediated discovery, agent activity, and the actions that drive growth. </p></li><li><p>Model Microsoft culture through customer obsession, high accountability, direct communication, inclusive collaboration, and a willingness to work through ambiguity without hiding behind process. </p></li></ul></div><br><br><b>Qualifications</b><br><p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong><br><br></p><div dir="ltr"><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development\<ul><li>OR equivalent experience.</li></ul></li></ul><div dir="ltr"><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree AND 15+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development<ul><li>OR equivalent experience.</li></ul></li><li>Experience commercializing SaaS, analytics, advertising, marketing technology, or enterprise platform products. </li><li>Experience with pricing, packaging, GTM strategy, paid product adoption, or monetization models for digital products. </li><li>Experience building analytics products, AI analytics, web analytics, experimentation, attribution, measurement, or customer insight tools. </li><li>Experience defining product requirements for paying customers, including enterprise workflows, admin controls, access models, reporting, onboarding, support, and customer success needs. </li><li>Experience working across engineering, design, data science, sales, marketing, finance, business planning, and senior leadership. </li><li>Experience communicating with audiences at all levels and disciplines, written and verbal communication, with the ability to make ambiguous product and business tradeoffs clear. </li><li>Experience with AI search, GEO, SEO, LLM visibility, content discovery, citations, knowledge retrieval, or agentic product experiences. </li><li>Experience with web analytics or product analytics tools such as Clarity, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Pendo, FullStory, or similar products. </li><li>Experience building enterprise SaaS products with RBAC, account hierarchy, multi-tenant controls, compliance, privacy, and admin workflows. </li><li>Experience with advertising, marketing technology, agency workflows, Microsoft Advertising, or customer acquisition products. </li><li>Experience with API strategy, partner integrations, data exports, MCP-style integrations, or products that become part of a customer’s operating workflow. </li><li>Experience taking a free or product-led growth product into paid tiers, enterprise packaging, or sales-led adoption. </li><li>Strong customer empathy for marketers, growth teams, agencies, ecommerce teams, publishers, and enterprise digital teams. </li><li>Ability to operate like a business owner: product strategy, customer value, GTM, economics, execution, and organizational alignment. </li></ul></div></div> <br><br><p>Product Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $165,600 - $296,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $220,800 - $331,200 per year. </p><p></p> <p>Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
