Geospatial Engr Sr Manager

SAIC is seeking a Senior Manager, Geographic Information Systems to lead public safety GIS and addressing support for Department of Defense customers. This position manages a broad functional area delivering mission critical GIS solutions that enable CAD and NG911 systems in support of military first responders and public safety entities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide strategic leadership for the Public Safety GIS and Addressing team in support of DoD emergency response missions
- Direct planning, staffing, and budgeting for multiple related GIS functions and projects
- Oversee design, analysis, and development of geospatial solutions and product specifications for global geospatial imagery and vector products
- Plan, design, and govern spatial and relational database architectures that support CAD and NG911 systems
- Establish and enforce GIS data quality, standards, and governance in alignment with NENA and DoD requirements
- Mentor and develop GIS staff and first line managers, fostering strong team performance and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with senior customer and SAIC leadership on priorities, risk management, and long term roadmap for public safety GIS capabilities
- Make decisions that balance mission performance, technical risk, cost, and schedule and address issues that have significant impact on program success

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Information Technology, or related field
- Ten (10) or more years of professional GIS experience including public safety or DoD focused work
- Three (3) or more years of experience leading teams or managing GIS projects or programs
- Demonstrated experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise in an operational environment
- Knowledge of emergency response operations and the role of GIS in CAD and 9 1 1 call handling systems

Required Security Clearance:

- An active Secret security clearance is required upon starting

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience managing GIS programs that support NG911, CAD, or similar mission critical systems
- Experience with GIS data governance, automation, and ETL processes using Python or ArcPy
- Familiarity with NENA NG911 GIS standards and DoD spatial data standards such as SDSFIE
- Strong decision making, problem solving, and stakeholder engagement skills at the senior level
- Professional GIS certification such as GISP or equivalent
