Job Description
Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of retail banking branch renovation and refresh programs. The ideal candidate will be client-focused, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple fast-paced projects while ensuring consistency, quality, budget adherence, and minimal disruption to banking operations. Role requires 25%-30% regional travel to project sites when required.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple branch renovation and retail banking improvement projects from initiation through closeout.
- Coordinate and manage stakeholders including banking clients, architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, facilities teams, and regulatory authorities.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules, ensuring key milestones, critical paths, and delivery commitments are achieved.
- Ensure effective project governance, standards, processes, and reporting frameworks are consistently applied across all projects.
- Prepare and deliver project status reports, executive summaries, risk registers, and leadership updates.
- Oversee the execution of branch renovations to ensure compliance with client design standards, brand requirements, security protocols, and operational needs.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, change orders, and cost controls to ensure projects are delivered within approved financial parameters.
- Coordinate planning and execution activities to minimize disruption to branch operations, customers, and employees during renovations.
- Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders, construction teams, vendors, and banking operations teams through regular meetings and project updates.
- Monitor design development, permitting activities, procurement schedules, construction progress, and project closeout requirements.
- Manage contractor and consultant performance, ensuring quality, safety, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved.
- Review project documentation, drawings, schedules, budgets, and contractor deliverables to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Lead issue resolution efforts, including responding to field conditions, RFIs, change requests, and operational challenges.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to support successful project delivery.
- Support value engineering initiatives and recommend cost-effective solutions without compromising quality, customer experience, or regulatory compliance.
- Ensure all renovations are completed in accordance with applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, life safety standards, and banking security guidelines.
- Maintain strong client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities for program improvements, process efficiencies, and expanded services within the retail banking portfolio.
- Support business development efforts by fostering positive client relationships and identifying future project opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience managing retail, banking, corporate interiors, renovation, or construction projects.
- Experience overseeing multi-site renovation programs and fast-track project delivery environments.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and construction administration.
- Experience working in occupied facilities while maintaining business continuity.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Excel, and project management software platforms.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
